Rock Garden

Rock Garden

I’m growing a rock garden!

Starting on July 4th, 2022 I decided it was time to start converting a flower bed in my front yard into a rock garden. Sometime in 2018 (I think) I made a small flower garden with some large rocks, some pine straw to control weeds and grass growth, and some metal flowers. It looked great for a long time, but then I got lazy with the upkeep on it. In 2022 I started collecting rocks from West Point Lake, and other locations. The rocks began piling up, and so I started filling in my old flower bed. I’m going to turn it into a rock garden.

This page has been created so that I can track my progress with this project. I will post a new photo on this page about once monthly.

In April 2022, I began writing and sharing my newsletter, titled MUDWALKER. This newsletter comes with my latest site updates, and also lots of other content such as links to useful & interesting websites, music lists, resources, and more. It is a free pdf published monthly between the 1st and 5th of each month (sometimes earlier depending on my schedule). You can get the latest issue here.

A large part of what makes a great resource for information, are the lists I write and maintain. Check out the lists below that may interest you.

Podcast Spotlights (coming soon)

Podcast Spotlights are a new thing I started doing in September 2020. I have to admit that I don’t listen to many podcasts myself personally. If I do listen to one, it’s usually the Armin Van Buuren’s ASOT (A State Of Trance) podcast. My Podcast Spotlights are a way for me to connect with more favorite Podcasts, while also highlighting some that you may enjoy. See the list below of the current Podcast Spotlights.

1st RECORDING OF: What’s Love Got To Do With It – Bucks Fizz (1984) – [link]

Did you know that Tina Turner’s song, What’s Love Got To Do With It was first offered to a British music group called Bucks Fizz? Yeah I didn’t either until I discovered this during the week of Monday, August 1st, 2022. You can hear the Bucks Fizz version above. It’s my understanding that Bucks Fizz didn’t release the song as their own, but was included on a later album release, perhaps a compilation (I’m not sure). You can get more into it if you like with other videos on Youtube, and on Google. Featured on Thursday, August 4th, 2022 @ 1:40 AM CST.

2022-08-05-FRI @ 9:05 PM CST – A big focus for me this month in August 2022 is to start listing accounts I follow on Twitter. You will see a lot of these pages being posted to the blog over the course of this month.

2022-08-01-MON @ 12:06 AM CST – This week, probably starting tomorrow on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2022, I’m planning on populating some resources and information from some of my other sites into the 3 column panel of my website below. I’m also considering to add a new section into the template below for temporary promotions of interesting things I find on the internet. UPDATE – Promotions has been added. – UPDATE – I still have to move content from other sites.

2022-08-01-MON @ 12:00 AM CST – I’ve got several other .com websites that I have not been doing a lot of updates to lately, and for quite awhile. I’ve already set one of them to redirect here to, and I’m considering to do the same with several more of them. Doing this will allow me to redirect funds to possibly set up a new store website using Woocommerce on Wordpress, rather than using 3rd party storefronts like Storenvy, and Gumroad to sell my craft products and my ebooks. This will be a huge move with a lot of work required if I choose to make this happen. Stay tuned for updates. has recently been relaunched on Wednesday, April 13th, 2022 with a new theme I designed. You may notice some things moved, or removed as needed over the coming weeks as I adjust to this new layout and getting my content organized. Update: Wednesday, May 11th, 2022 – Work is still going on with setting up my website here with the new look and upcoming content. You can check my UPDATES page to see the latest updates as they happen. Update: Monday, August 1st, 2022 – Most work has been done to get this website set up with the new theme now. Going forward I just have some clean-up of content to do, and decisions on what content to place where within my new template. Hopefully by the end of 2022, I will have everything running smoothly, and this notification can finally be removed from the site.

Reddit: pixelated bead art – I think Perler beads are cool, and I wish I had more time to make plastic art pieces with them (one day I guess). Google Search for “perler snappix” – If you are familiar with and love Perler beads (those that you put on a pegboard to create images and then fuse together with heat from an iron), you might be interested to know that the company behind them has a new product out called Perler Snappix. These are slightly similar to creating images like with diamond painting, except that you use square perler beads on a specially designed canvas. SITE-SHOT – Generally whenever I need a website screenshot, I just use a built in screenshot feature in Firefox. I have found however that if a website has long pages (like mine for example), it does not give me a full-length screenshot. That isn’t helpful to me when I like to use screenshots as a visual record of how my website is progressing. I discovered Site-Shot online can get me the screenshot I need. Give it a try for yourself. Promoting since 2022-08-04-THU @ 5:29 AM CST.

I Was Sexually Abused In The Mormon Church – Video description: McKay ‘Spartacus’ Johnson grew up in a Mormon family in Utah. At age 19, he had to travel to South America for a missionary trip with the church. There, he found himself isolated and was sexually abused by his missionary companion, with whom he had to share a room for months. Upon his return to the US, he eventually found his way out of the Mormon church, which he views as an institution promoting damaging values. McKay told us about his story and his path to recovery in the new episode of No Filter. Watch the video here on YouTube.
