This page currently serves as a “progress report” for my mp3 music management project I have currently going on for myself – a personal project I’ve been needing and wanting to get done for many years. In 2020, my goal is to get my entire MASSIVE collection of mp3’s organized and collected into one complete collection. I’ve been rampantly collecting music since the first Napster software came out on the internet so this is going to be a very time consuming project.

I started organizing my mp3 collection around Tuesday, October 6th, 2020. I will be updating this page with info about my collection periodically.

For those interested in how I get the total playtime info for my mp3 collection: I use Musicbee music management software (free here – and I recommend giving a donation to it’s creator – the software is off the chain good!) which tells me the total playtime of music in a folder. I take that time and add it up with this time calculator at, and that keeps me on top of my overall total playtime for my music collection.

My Android MP3 Player of choice.

Casse-O-Player is an easy to use Android MP3 Player app that mimics a cassette tape deck on your smartphone or tablet. It features a great selection of cassette tape animations (plus many more in add-on packs – and I’ve purchased them all). It also features EQ, Bass Boost, and has a super affordable (only $2.00 – when I purchased) option to remove ads so you can support the app’s creator. Look it up in Google Play Store.

I Was Just Thinking

On my blog there is a category called Just Thinking, and in that category is where I occasionally write about things in the news or various other things including random thoughts, or something about productivity and trying to keep up with getting things done. Below are some recent topics I wrote about that you may interest you.

Random Things Digests

I continuously find interesting links to share with my website viewers. I share these links in the form of “Random Things”. Random Things Digests contain collections of various internet content I’ve found to share with you that you may find interesting. You will find Random Things always posted first in real time, as I discover them, on my home page. Each week I post the Random Things from my home page in a blog post to the Random Things Digests Archive so that you don’t miss all the great shares and information.

A large part of what makes a great resource for information, are the lists I write and maintain. Check out the lists below that may interest you.

Podcast Spotlights

Podcast Spotlights are a new thing I started doing in September 2020. I have to admit that I don’t listen to many podcasts myself personally. If I do listen to one, it’s usually the Armin Van Buuren’s ASOT (A State Of Trance) podcast. My Podcast Spotlights are a way for me to connect with more favorite Podcasts, while also highlighting some that you may enjoy. See the list below of the current Podcast Spotlights.
