Crochet slouchy beanie in Agean Stripes colorway for men, handmade by me. Check availability of this item in my DudeCapz Beanie Shop on Etsy. The beanie you see pictured is the exact item you will receive with your purchase. See the rest of this blog post for a link to the specific item on Etsy, and more photos.
General Item Information:
Handmade crochet slouchy beanie for men. This beanie gives you the slouchy beanie look without the heavy bulk. An original design exclusive to DudeCapz Beanie Shop made by the owner, David Thrift who is also the photographer and content creator at DDAVIDD.com.
The colorway of the yarn used to produce this item is called Agean Stripes. It is a beautiful combination of blue colors with shades of gray and black. The shape of the beanie has just enough body to give you the ability to place a fold in the back side after putting it on, which gives it the slouchy look.
Fitting and Care:
This beanie is crocheted using soft acrylic easy care yarn. If you ever need to wash it, just gently hand wash it in a bowl or sink with mildly warm water and small amount of detergent. Then rinse well, gently roll in a towel to remove excess water, and lay flat to dry without stretching the item. You can probably also put it in a washing machine and dryer on gentle cycles in a small mesh bag, however I do not recommend to do this in order to preserve the yarn in it’s best condition. With these instructions given, it must be stated that this is an accessory clothing item, and regardless of the care given to it, in time it will eventually show some wear. You should however be able to enjoy years of wearing this item with good care. I have personally worn some of my handmade beanies for years with minimal care, and haven’t worn one out yet.
In regards to fitting, these items are made specifically to the pattern I designed to fit adult men. These beanies should also fit adult women and teenagers with no problem. Most humans from teenage to adult have roughly the same size head. Should you find that the band around the beanie feels a little tight, this is no issue at all. You’ll just need to give the band a very gentle and light stretch. The tightness in the band normally occurs due to the thickness of the stitching in the band compared to that of the body of the rest of the beanie. I do not personally do any stretching of the band after completing the item. This is left up to you, the buyer, to decide if it will fit you comfortably as is, or if it may need a tiny stretch. Also take into account that the thickness of your hair may require you to give the beanie a slight stretch to accommodate your wearing of the item comfortably. In any case, I’m very certain you will find the fit of this beanie more comfortable than any mass produced, machine made beanie you might buy at a department store. Should you feel that you need to give the item a stretch for fitting, please do so slightly. You may find that you only need to barely stretch it all to fit well.
No Returns – No Refunds:
Please do take note that because this is a handmade item, I am not able to accept returns or offer refunds. The reasons for that is because these items take a lot of time to make, are tested for adult fit on an adult size display before selling, I usually only carry one item in any particular color or color sequence at any given time, these items are in brand new condition from the time I created them up the time they are sold and received by the buyer, they are sold in brand new condition, and I am not able to resell an item after it has been shipped to someone who used it, and all items are considered used by the buyer after shipping. Please make sure that you truly want this item before making a purchase.
Shipping To USA Only:
I only ship to residents within the 48 contiguous United States. I do not sell or ship internationally. This is due to issues in the past that I have had dealing with customs to foreign countries outside of the USA, and I do not wish to get involved with customs again. I do apologize to international shoppers for any inconvenience. If you are a foreigner outside of the USA wishing to purchase from DudeCapz Beanie Store, my suggestion is that you have a friend or family member who is inside the USA to order for you. I will happily ship your items to them, and then they can ship the item to you in the country where you reside.

Podcast Spotlights (in planning coming soon):
Podcast Spotlights are a new thing I started doing in September 2020. I have to admit that I don’t listen to many podcasts myself personally. If I do listen to one, it’s usually the Armin Van Buuren’s ASOT (A State Of Trance) podcast. My Podcast Spotlights are a way for me to connect with more favorite Podcasts, while also highlighting some that you may enjoy. See the list below of the current Podcast Spotlights. UPDATE: Apparently I deleted the posts for this segment of my website. Perhaps I had a change of focus. Maybe I’ll bring the spotlights back at some point.
